Curiosity = Life

Curiosity = Life

Hello beautiful souls!

I want to chat about something that's been on my mind lately: curiosity.

You know, if you're reading this, I bet you've got a spark of curiosity in you too. And let me tell you, curiosity is one of my top three characteristics to live by.

It's right up there with respect and connection.

Curiosity, to me, is absolutely critical. It keeps us assessing, changing, expanding, learning, and moving forward. Without it, we'd be stuck in the same old patterns, never growing or evolving.

Respect is another biggie for me. It's crucial in our interactions with others. I might not agree with everyone, and hey, not everyone has to agree with me either. But we can respect each other's current stance, you know?

And then there's Connection - that deep bond with myself, my soul, my higher self. It's that true self that guides and provides for me.

Let me share a story that really hammered home the importance of curiosity for me.

A client came in recently, telling me about a necklace her mother had given her. Now, this client is about 28, and she lost her mom about 20 years ago, so you can imagine how precious this necklace was to her.

While working at a fast food joint, she had a regular customer who kept insisting she get rid of the necklace because it was 'of the devil'.

Can you believe it?

Every single time this customer came in, she'd repeat this.

The necklace was in the shape of an ankh. My client, bless her, didn't want to part with it because it was her last gift from her mother.

So what did she do? She got curious.

She did some research and discovered that the ankh actually represents life, immortality, and rebirth - the never-ending cycle of life.

How beautifully appropriate is that as a gift from her mom who had passed so young?

Now, my client wears that necklace proudly.

But it took curiosity to learn more, to suddenly see how profound this gift truly was.

If she had just done what she was told, she would have lost out on this connection with her mother and missed the opportunity to learn about this ancient symbol.

It got me thinking - what have you been told that you've accepted as truth without question?

Are you willing to be curious and learn more about it? Can you make a more informed decision around the subject?

I often tell people that what I thought was truth in my 20s wasn't my truth in my 30s, and my truth in my 40s shifted even more.

This month, I'm rounding another decade, and you know what? I'm still expanding, still learning, and still curious about gaining new perspectives and truths as I continue diving deeper into my wisdom and knowledge.

So, my lovely friends, I challenge you to embrace your curiosity.

Ah, isn't it beautiful how everything connects? The ankh, this ancient symbol that sparked our conversation, represents life, immortality, and the endless cycle of rebirth.

And isn't that exactly what curiosity embodies? Just like the ankh, curiosity is a symbol of life itself - eternal, always renewing, always leading us to rebirth and new understandings.

When we stay curious, we're constantly breathing new life into our experiences, our relationships, our very being. We're reborn with each new discovery, each shift in perspective.

The ankh my client wears isn't just a connection to her mother; it's a reminder to all of us to keep that life force of curiosity flowing.

To question, to seek, to wonder - this is how we truly live, how we tap into the immortality of ideas and the endless cycle of growth.

With love and endless curiosity,
