Dare to Try - You DO Know What to Do
Share
Have you ever stood at the edge of a decision, heart racing, palms sweating, whispering to yourself, "I don't know what to do"? I've been there, and I bet you have too. But let me share a powerful truth I've learned through years of transformational psychology, life coaching, and metaphysical practice:
Deep down, you DO know.
That knot in your stomach? That restless energy coursing through your veins? It's not there because you're clueless. It's there precisely because your higher self, your intuition, knows exactly what step you need to take next. The fear you feel is simply an inner aspect's reaction, trying to keep you "safe" in familiar territory.
The Foggy Forest of Transformation
Imagine standing at the edge of a dense, misty forest. You can barely see a few feet ahead, but you feel an undeniable pull toward a hidden path. This forest represents your journey of personal growth and transformation. The fog? That's the uncertainty that always accompanies change.
I'm standing in this fog as I write this blog, facing my fears of putting myself more online. I've talked about it, known it was the next step for me, for years. And yet I have dragged my feet, got lost in the fog, and found distraction after distraction keeping me from actually doing it.
Why? If I look really deep, there's something hidden in the fog about truly putting myself out there. When I feel into my aspect that holds the beliefs creating the fear, it's hard to pinpoint the 'why' - it's not from this lifetime and its so old its hard to bring into an understandable focus - and that's okay.
Sometimes we just have to realize it's there so we can look at it eye to eye through the fog. Just by acknowledging it, recognizing that it exists, we make the fog dissolve away, making it easier to take that necessary step.
In transformational psychology, we know that identifying these beliefs is the first step to changing them.
The Alchemy of Action
Here's a metaphysical truth: energy follows intention. When we take action, no matter how small, we set powerful forces in motion. It's like casting a stone into a still pond - the ripples extend far beyond the initial splash.
For me, that first "stone" was simply creating my new online platform. I'd love to say it was easy, but it hasn't been. At this stage, I know I just have to do it, not get caught up in making things perfect, and just hit the publish button.
As I walk through the next couple of weeks discovering what happens next, I KNOW that I'll feel better because I took the step. I'll be faced with real issues instead of imaginary ones, and my confidence will grow with every step.
And you know what? The fog begins to lift. Each action reveals a little more of the path ahead. Suddenly, I can see where I'm going and realize I've known all along what I needed to do.
This is the alchemy of action. By daring to take that first step, we transmute fear into courage, doubt into clarity.
The Soul's Compass
In my practice, I often work with clients who feel utterly lost. Recently, I had a client - let's call her Lori - who was facing the collapse of her career and relationship simultaneously. She stood at a crossroads, overwhelmed and uncertain about her next steps.
Like many of us, Lori had fallen into the trap of comparison. She looked at others and assumed they had it all figured out, that they possessed some secret formula for success she lacked.
But here's the truth: they don't, and it's not easier for them.
Everyone faces challenges when it comes to finding their strength and embracing change. It might look different for each person, but we're all on our own journey of growth and self-discovery.
As we delved deeper, using techniques from transformational coaching and energy work, Lori began to hear the whispers of her soul's compass. This inner guidance system, often obscured by the noise of our daily lives, started to reveal itself. She realized that feeling inadequate wasn't a personal failing, but a common human experience.
Gradually, Lori's focus shifted from comparing herself to others to nurturing her own growth. As she did, she began to see her own potential and unique strengths. Her soul's compass was guiding her towards difficult but necessary changes.
These knowings weren't coming from her mind, but from a deeper place - her higher self, her connection to universal wisdom.
In metaphysical terms, we might say Lori was aligning with her soul's purpose. She was learning to trust the wisdom within, to follow her soul's compass towards a life of deeper meaning and authenticity.
This journey isn't always easy, but it's profoundly transformative. As Lori discovered, when we dare to listen to our inner guidance, we open ourselves to a life that feels true, meaningful, and uniquely our own.
The Quantum Leap of Faith
Quantum physics tells us that observation affects reality. In the same way, our beliefs and actions shape our life's path. When we dare to take that first step, trusting our inner knowing, we literally alter the fabric of our reality.
For Lori, that first step was having an honest conversation with her partner. For me, it was pressing "publish" on my new community platform. What will it be for you?
Here's my challenge to you:
Identify one thing you've been telling yourself you don't know how to do. Now, quiet your mind and listen to your inner wisdom. What's one small step you can take today?
Remember, you don't need to see the entire path. You just need the courage to take that first step. As you do, the fog will begin to lift, revealing a path more beautiful and fulfilling than you ever imagined.
Dare to try. Dare to trust that inner knowing.
Because you DO know what to do; the universe is simply waiting for you to act.
Let's step into the fog together, shall we?
After all, it's in embracing the unknown that we truly come alive.
And who knows? Your courageous step might just inspire others to find their path too.
The fog always clears for those brave enough to keep walking.
So, my friend, what's your next step?
